Are these PEO exams, and do they come with solutions?

We sell solutions to past technical exams. These exams, called either National Technical Exams or PEO Technical Exams, are standard across Canada (except Quebec).

Any provincial variations (e.g.,  16-CIV-A3, 16-MEC-A6) are clearly indicated.

Who solves the exams, and how do I receive them?

Exams are solved by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who teach or are qualified to teach the topic at a university level. Most SMEs hold doctoral degrees in their engineering discipline.

All available solutions can be downloaded immediately after purchase. You’ll receive an email with a PDF download link(s). You can save and print the PDF file(s).

Solutions marked "Pre-Order Only" need to be solved. Please allow up to 10 days. Once completed, you'll receive an email with your download link.

I need a course. How do I get one?

CyberEd does not recommend live review courses.

Short, rushed courses (such as a 10-hour review) rely on passive learning—simply paying over $100/hour to have someone talk at you. Many technical exams cover material equivalent to two full-length university courses (60 hours).

We recommend active self-study instead. Get your pencil moving and put in the effort. You likely know some of the material already; you just need practice to refresh your skills.

Start by reviewing a textbook, then practice solving past exam questions. Use CyberEd’s solutions to verify your answers and identify areas needing improvement.

How do I get the latest (post-2020) exam solutions?

Post-2020 exams are strictly protected by copyright, and the exam rules explicitly forbid sharing or distributing these materials.

Fortunately, you don’t need them. Exam content has not  changed in over 25 years, and exam questions are often repeated verbatim—even decades apart. Exam creators rely on past exams and rarely introduce entirely new questions, as it increases risk of errors or unsuitable difficulty.

Focusing on recent exams is an example of "novelty bias," where something new appears more valuable simply because it’s recent.

The exams are still written on paper. You just now write in front of a webcam and you scan in your solutions.

Recall the 80/20 rule and focus on the 80% of questions you need to pass.

There is no better aid to help you prepare than past technical exam solutions.

Why are the solutions so expensive?

CyberEd was founded in 1997 to help as many people as possible pass their technical exams. We always aim to offer the lowest possible price.

However, technical exams have a very small audience. This year, only about 800 candidates will take nearly 200 different exams.

Initially, we charged $40 per question. Today, solutions for popular exams are often under $5 per question, with nearly all under $10 per question. Even exams written rarely—sometimes only once or twice per decade—are solved at a loss, never exceeding $180 for an exam.

We regularly review prices to find ways to lower costs further and help more candidates. Our prices never go up.
